Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This policy explains what information Avenoid collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run the platform and never sell your personal data.

1. Who we are

Avenoid is a learning and creator platform where people build skills, publish proof of work, join communities, and connect with mentors. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “Avenoid” refer to the operator of the Avenoid service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information you provide at sign-up: name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed by Firebase Authentication). If you sign in with a provider (e.g. Google), we receive your basic profile from that provider.
  • Profile and learning data you create: your role, goals and skills, headline, learning progress, XP and streaks, projects, proof-of-work items, community posts, and messages.
  • Payment information for purchases and bookings. Card and payment details are processed directly by our payment provider (Razorpay); we do not store your full card number. We retain a record of the transaction, amount, and status.
  • Technical and diagnostic data: error logs and basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, the URL where an error occurred) used to keep the service reliable and secure.

3. Public vs. private information

Some profile fields are public by design so features like the leaderboard and talent discovery work — specifically your display name, photo, role, XP, streak, and headline. These are stored in a dedicated public profile record that deliberately excludes private data.

Your email address and other private details are never made public. They are protected by our security rules and are only accessible to you, platform administrators, and — where a feature requires it (such as team invitations or talent discovery you have opted into) — authorized organization or moderator accounts.

4. How we use your information

  • To provide and personalize the platform (courses, community, mentorship, proof vault).
  • To process payments, grant access to purchased content, and handle refunds.
  • To send transactional notifications (e.g. account, purchase, and booking updates).
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose and fix errors.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

5. Service providers we use

We share data with processors only as needed to run the service:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage.
  • Razorpay — payment processing and payouts.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (when configured).
  • BunnyStream — video hosting and delivery for lessons (when configured).
  • LiveKit — real-time video for live sessions and mentor calls (when configured).
  • Google Gemini — optional AI assistance; prompts are processed to generate responses (when configured).

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. Diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period and then removed. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Access, update, or correct your profile information from your account settings.
  • Control discoverability — you choose whether your profile appears in talent discovery.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see Contact).
  • Opt out of non-essential emails via the preferences in your account.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), server-side authentication, and database security rules that restrict access to your private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

9. Children

Avenoid is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you in the app.

Avenoid is a learning studio where projects become public proof. You leave with evidence of the work, not a certificate that stands in for it.

01

Real projects

Learning happens by building, not by collecting badges.

02

Public proof

Finished work can live in a portfolio other people can open.

03

Signed evidence

Credentials can be checked. A PDF alone is not the record.
